Intuition: Opening Your Third Eye

Intuition: The ability to know things without prior knowledge or thought.

Our third eye is said to see things through the eyes of the spirit or soul. Since the spirit resides in the ethereal realm with no limits of space or time, its vision knows no bounds. When tapping into this sight, we are able to see things that have already happened, are happening, and haven’t happened yet without reason. The third eye chakra is said to house these gifts. The third eye is located in the center of your eyebrows and pertains to the pineal gland which is the part of the brain associated with regulating our waking and sleep. Clearing and meditating with this chakra can help to navigate through layers of consciousness. Everyone is capable of tapping into their intuition. With some patience and practice, opening your third eye and mastering when and how to use it will be come easy.

Here are some tips to help open your third eye and get in touch with your inner knowing:

3. Essentials Oils and Crystals. Diffusing or diluting and applying essential oils can be very beneficial in nurturing your third eye. Oils such as Frankincense, Myrrh, Sandalwood, and Clary Sage are especially helpful. Crystals are powerful and hold high vibrations that will help as well. Amethyst, Labradorite, and Clear Quartz are perfect for this use. Simply place them on the third eye while meditating.

Some other helpful tips involve proper diet and good hygiene. Eating foods high in healthy fats and omega 3’s are good for healing and balancing the third eye. Foods rich in iodine like kale and other leafy greens are also beneficial. Avoiding fluoride as much as possible will help keep the pineal gland clear.
